PrismPOS is the preferred point-of-sale solution for PrismCore and Mosaic. As additional functionality is added to Mosaic and PrismCore, application APIs are expanding to offer expected behavior regardless of a store’s inventory management system. Along with essential data exchange, there is an ongoing initiative to unify POS configuration, streamline content management, and enhance transaction processing quality.

Digital Receipts Display Signatures

Signatures now display on the emailed receipt and the receipt shown in Thunder Admin > Transaction Inquiry > Open Email Receipt. This has been added so electronic receipts include the shopper’s signature when the Open Email Receipt button is pressed in Thunder Admin.

Add “Rented”, “Rental Check-In” as reasons on Reports in Mosaic

For Mosaic clients, when a book is rented on a transaction, the Reason will now say “Rented” on the Stock Adjustment Report as well as for the Transaction Type when viewing details under Transaction Search. Previously, the report was showing “Sale” as the Reason. Conversely, when a rental is checked in, the Reason will show “Rental Check-In”.

If the transactions contains a rented item and a non rental item the Transaction Type will display “Sale, Rented”.
Other areas that were fixed to display Rented and Rental Check In are in the Transaction Details (when the View button is pressed) and in the Export Summary (CSV) and Export Details (PDF) in Mosiac > Reports > Transaction Search > Export.

Pay In / Pay Out Detail Capture in Mosaic

Pay Ins and Pay Outs are now captured to A/R transactions to reconcile Balance Due in Mosaic > People & Accounts > AR Account Management > Profile tab as well as display in Mosaic > People & Accounts > AR Account Management > Transactions tab.
When an ROA Pay In or ROA Pay Out is done at a PrismPOS register, the Token section of the details in view Transaction Search details in Mosaic now displays the Account Tender and Account that was used at the register for the ROA Pay In/ROA Pay Out.

Non-Merch Refunds

A fix was delivered so that if a non-merch item is refundable and on the same transaction as a regular item, the “Refund Selected” button will be enabled. Previously, when refunding a non-merch item and a regular item on the same transaction, the “Refund Selected” button was disabled if the non-merch item was selected,

Gift Card Balance on Receipts

The gift card balance on the receipt now displays ccorrectly. Previously, when a gift card was used as a tender, the Gift Card Balance was displaying zero for the balance on the receipt.

Bug Fixes

Tender Auth Restarts - When the Tender Auth message “Error refunding transaction. Tender auth type has been changed from (Sale Auth Type) to (New Auth Type) and cannot be used to refund this sale. Please change the tender auth type back to (Sale Auth Type) to refund this sale” is given at the register, a user can now attach a customer and continue. Before, users were stuck with an error “An application error occurred. The operation is not allowed on a nonenabled element.” requiring a register restart.
Non-Merch Refunds - If a non-merch item is refundable and on the same transaction as a regular item, the “Refund Selected” button will be enabled to refund all items. In previous versions, selecting a non-merch item and a regular item on the same transaction, disabled the “Refund Selected”, even if the non-merch item was refundable.
Post-Voids on POS Reconciliation Report in Mosaic - In Mosaic, the POS Device Reconciliation Report Void total is now correctly reported. Before, the PrismPOS post void was not captured correctly, causing an incorrect report value,
Open Email Receipt without Signatures - Open Email Receipt in Thunder Admin > Transaction Inquiry displays correctly for receipts that do not contain a signature as well as receipts that have a signature. Prior to this update, the application was giving an error if there was no signature present on the transaction.
Rental Receipts Not Printing - Rental receipt reprint now functions as expected without errors. Before, some clients had issues with rental receipts not reprinting consistently.
Thunder Admin Register Report - The Register Report in Thunder Admin has been fixed to display correctly when a rental transaction is completed with different guarantee tender. Previously, the Register Report in Thunder Admin would display an error if the guarantee tender was not also used to pay for the transaction.
