Application Updates from: Feb 23 - Mar 20, 2024
Release to Production: Apr 3, 2024
Application Version: 2.0.604.1

PrismPOS is the preferred point-of-sale solution for PrismCore and Mosaic. As additional functionality is added to Mosaic and PrismCore, application APIs are expanding to offer expected behavior regardless of a store’s inventory management system. Along with essential data exchange, there is an ongoing initiative to unify POS configuration, streamline content management, and enhance transaction processing quality.
PrismPOS
TrimData on POS 2.0
Through collaboration with TrimData resources, this integration is now officially certified with PrismPOS 2.0.
For customers waiting for this functionality to upgrade from PrismPOS v1.9 to v2.0, please contact your CSM or support@prismrbs.com for guidance in scheduling upgrades.
Mosaic Customers Added at Register Active on Creation
Newly added Mosaic customers are automatically active upon creation at PrismPOS. When creating a new customer at a PrismPOS cash register, that customer can be linked to a transaction immediately. Previously, when a new customer was added at the register and linked to a transaction, the message “Notice: Customer is inactive. Please assess eligibility before continuing with the sale” was displayed requiring a back office system user to activate the new customer in Mosaic.
XREF in Item Details
XREF information now shows on the item details screen during a refund. This enables cashiers to verify the XREF matches the item being refunded. This feature, previously on PrismPOS v1.9 systems only, is now available in PrismPOS v2.0.
Miscellaneous Fixes and Enhancements
Transactions with two or more tax codes higher than zero now flow to PrismCore as expected. Previously, there was an issue with the transport process under specific scenarios that would require correction upon discovery. This bug has been addressed and transaction data flows as expected.
Digital item can now be refunded by their digital SKU or digital ISBN. Previously, when a digital text was refunded at the register by SKU or ISBN, the transaction was not completing.
Swipe to Login now works correctly and the magnetic stripe reader (MSR) continues to work correctly regardless of the log off sequence. The PrismPOS application and MSR no longer have to be restarted if a transaction was started with a customer and logged off before items are added.
Resolved an issue causing "Entity Exception: Validation failed" messages when voiding transactions with changed authorization types. Now, attempts to void such transactions will display a clear error message advising the clerk to revert the tender authorization type to its original state for successful refund processing.
Transactions containing non-merch, DCC-based Special Items now flow to PrismCore as expected. Previously, under specific scenarios, transactions would not get uploaded to PrismCore, requiring manual remediation.
