PrismWeb v3.6.19 Release Notes March 2019
Digital Books Discounted when Coupon for Product Type Textbooks (DV-2501)
Prior to this fix, there was an issue when a coupon applied to Product Type > Textbooks and Target > All Eligible Products. If there was an eligible textbook in a Prismweb cart, any digital book also included in the cart was discounted, and factored into the subtotal on checkout review. However, the digital book was not factored into the Discount displayed on the cart page, or Total Savings displayed at the top of the checkout review page.
This has been resolved. When a coupon applies to Product Type > Textbooks and Target > All Eligible Products, only eligible textbooks are discounted in the Prismweb cart and checkout review page. No digital books are discounted.
Apply Coupon to One Item, Highest & Lowest (DV-1625)
This enhancement gives the user additional control of how a coupon is applied in the cart. A Target parameter is included in the coupon settings to specify whether a coupon can be applied to all eligible items in a customer's cart, or a single eligible item. If the parameters set to a single item, the option will be available to select the highest priced eligible item, or lowest priced eligible item.
- The Target parameter settings are:
- All Eligible Products
- Highest Priced Eligible Product
- Lowest Priced Eligible Product
When creating a coupon, All Eligible Products is the default setting. Highest Priced Eligible Product, and Lowest Priced Eligible Product can be set for coupons that have the Apply Coupon To parameter set to Product Type, Catalog, or Product with the Buy One Get One parameter unchecked. If the Apply Coupon To parameter is set to Order, Shipping, or product with the Buy One Get One parameter checked, the following message appears below the Target settings: Info! The Highest and Lowest Target is not available for this coupon type.
A tooltip is included with the new Target parameter adding further explanation:
- If the shopper adds multiple coupon eligible products to their cart, Target dictates which eligible product(s) the discount will be applied to. Please note that Highest and Lowest settings only apply to non-BOGO product, product-type, and catalog level coupons.
- If a coupon has the Target parameter set to Highest Priced Eligible Product or Lowest Priced Eligible Product, the discount will be applied to an item quantity of 1 for the eligible item in the customer cart on PrismWeb, even if the customer orders an item quantity of 2 or more.
Please note:
When Discount Type is set to Dollar value, Target can be set to any of the three settings, however, if set to Lowest Priced Eligible Product, the discount will be applied to the highest priced eligible product in the cart instead. This is due to PrismWeb cart functionality established prior to this enhancement, and will be addressed in a future update.
In addition to the Target parameter, a user tip is included in the coupon settings for Description:
Tip! Adding the word "New" or "Used" to the description will limit the discount to any New or Used textbooks or rentals (not digital) applied to the coupon. This feature is limited to coupons applied to the textbook product type. Not products, catalogs, orders, or shipping.
For coupons that are set to Product Type and Textbooks, the user can discount only new textbooks by including the keyword 'new' in the description. Likewise, the user can discount only used textbooks by including the keyword 'used' in the description. If the description does not contain either of these keywords, the coupon will discount both new and used textbooks.
