May 2023 PrismWeb Release Notes
Application updates from March 22, 2023 – April 19, 2023
Release to production: May 3, 2023
PrismWeb is widely used as the e-commerce solution for PrismCore and Mosaic. Application APIs provide consistent behavior regardless of a store’s inventory management system. Along with essential data exchange, there is an ongoing initiative to unify website configuration, content management, and order processing within Mosaic. In Spring 2022, PrismRBS announced an initiative to transition clients to Mosaic eCommerce powered by Vortx as the preferred front-end website for PrismCore and Mosaic system users. To ensure continued online selling and enable transitions to Mosaic, support for PrismWeb will be maintained as clients transition to Mosaic eCommerce.

Course Term Online Sharing
In an effort to openly publish prices associated with course materials, so stores can remain in compliance with HEOA standards set for for schools, PrismWeb now respects the "View Only" status from the “Online Sharing” setting within the “Edit Term” page in Mosaic. This restricts web shopper access to viewing the product only, providing the shopper no ability to add to cart.
Additionally, we have also included support for the "Closed" status in the same setting, which removes the product from being viewable on web.
SKU Level Pricing
Previously, all SKUs attached to a product family had a single "Web Price," which applied to the product family as a whole rather than to each individual SKU. Communication between Mosaic and PrismWeb has been updated to pull the “Selling Price” affiliated with each SKU in Mosaic, providing greater flexibility and consistency with regard to displaying selling prices on PrismWeb.
Merchandise on Course Requests
We have identified an issue where adding GM to a course request did not create and add the GM item to the course request if the Publish Online flag was set to off for that item. To address this issue, we have implemented the following changes:
If a product Publish Online flag is false but the product is attached to a course request, the application will remove the product from web catalogs but not from course searches.
If the product Publish Online flag is false and the product is not included in course requests, the application will remove the product completely like it currently does.
These changes ensure that products attached to course requests are shared independent of the Publish Online flag, like other course materials.
