November 10, 2021 PrismWeb Release Notes

PrismWeb is the preferred, e-commerce solution for PrismCore and Mosaic. As additional functionality is added to Mosaic, application APIs are expanding to offer standard behavior regardless of a store’s inventory management system. Along with essential data exchange, there is an ongoing initiative to unify website configuration, content management, and order processing within Mosaic. This release makes use of enhanced Mosaic APIs to exchange data.

GM Products

Mosaic GM products, as well as course materials, may now be presented via PrismWeb. Mosaic products with “Publish Online” enabled that are assigned to an open web catalog will be presented on PrismWeb.

Website organization and options

Configuration data maintained within Mosaic updates PrismWeb Manager and PrismWeb along with products. Supporting data that is shared by Mosaic includes:

Shipping Codes – Available shipping options and fees to choose from on order placement.
Tenders – Allowed payment types to complete an online order.
Catalog Groups –Product groups, such as Books or Merchandise, that are used for high level filters when presenting or browsing website items.
Catalogs – Subsets of products such as gifts, t shirts, sweatshirts, supplies, technology, etc. that enable shoppers to find or browse products they want to buy.

Web Orders

Upon payment for items in a web shopping cart, web orders are share with Mosaic for processing. Details such as the customer, items purchased, order comments, and payment token are shared with Mosaic so staff can pick and ship products.
