PrismWeb Release Notes February 2019

PrismWeb v3.26 Release Notes

No Longer Redirect to Login Page After Placing Reservation

Prior to the fix, when a user attempted to submit a textbook reservation on PrismWeb or PrismWeb Manager, the system presented an error and would not complete the reservation. This has been resolved. When a user submits a textbook reservation on PrismWeb or PrismWeb Manager, the system will complete the reservation without error.

Display Issue on Order History Page

Prior to the fix, the Original Order section of the PrismWeb account order detail page displayed beyond the bottom of active pane, into the background, once the order status progressed beyond 'Ordered' status. This has been resolved. The Current Order and Original Order information on the PrismWeb account order detail page is displayed correctly within the active pane.

Fix low stock message for non-New Template users

Prior to this fix, if a PrismWeb client was using an old template, or was using the new template and had PrismWeb Manager > Setup > Availability Messages > Textbooks > Display Low Inventory Message set to 'Don't Show', the incorrect availability message would display for a textbook on PrismWeb once calculated inventory was less than or equal to 5. This has been resolved. If a PrismWeb client is using an old template, or is using the new template and has PrismWeb Manager > Setup > Availability Messages > Textbooks > Display Low Inventory Message set to 'Don't Show', the correct availability message will display on PrismWeb corresponding with the calculated inventory of the textbook.

Fix Logic on Textbook Express Results When Using Cheapest Default

Prior to this fix, if the Default Textbook Type was set to 'Cheapest' and the Default Textbook Quantity set to '1' in PrismWeb Manager Textbook Options, a cart error would be triggered on PrismWeb when a customer selected a textbook on the textbook express page meeting those parameters, but had inventory less than or equal to zero. This has been fixed. If the Default Textbook Type is set to 'Cheapest' and the Default Textbook Quantity is set to '1' in PrismWeb Manager Textbook Options, the radio button on the PrismWeb textbook express page is disabled for a textbook meeting those parameters, but with inventory less than or equal to zero.

Fix issues adding links and images to shopper emails

Prior to the fix, if a user attempted to insert a link into a shopper email generated from PrismWeb Manager, the URL text box would not accept input. This has been fixed. When a user inserts a link into a shopper email generated from PrismWeb Manager, the URL text box will accept input.

Add Time Zone Setting in Manager

Users can now set a time zone for the store on the PrismWeb Manager > Setup > Site Options > System Setup page. In the Store Time Zone field, click the drop-down menu to select the appropriate time zone. Once a time zone is selected, the user will see the following message: "Heads Up! Make sure you review and edit the start and end times of any active Coupons and Promotions. The times will need to be updated to reflect your new time zone. Coupons and Promotions can be found under the Marketing tab in the menu bar." Click Update to save the time zone setting and acknowledge the Heads Up! message. The time zone is used for coupons and promotions.

Add Time Setting for Promotions

With this enhancement, a promotion in PrismWeb Manager will have its start and end specified by time, as well as date. A time parameter is included with the date in the Start Date and End Date fields in Marketing > Promotions. The time setting can be specified to the minute. The promotion will start at the set start time, and will end after the set end time.

The first step to utilize the time parameter for promotions is to set a time zone for the store on the PrismWeb Manager > Setup > Site Options > System Setup page in the Store Time Zone field.

Sales events generated in PrismCore will have a default time of 12:00 AM for both start and end. This time can be edited in PrismWeb Manager by typing a new time into the Start Date and End Date fields, then clicking Update. The time parameter does not flow back PrismCore.

The Amount and Promotion Type fields have also changed for sales events generated in PrismCore. The Amount field is un-editable and displays the message: "Info! Discount amount and prices are managed in PrismCORE for Sale Events." The Promotion Type field is set to Sales Event. Even though this field remains editable, no change is saved and the setting reverts to Sales Event upon clicking Update.

New promotions created directly in PrismWeb Manager will have a default time of 12:00 AM for both start and end. This time can be edited in PrismWeb Manager by typing a new time into the Start Date and End Date fields. If the time is typed incorrectly, the system will either display an alert specifying the error for correction, or standardize the time input upon clicking Update.

Please note:

  1. Regarding promotions that pre-exist in PrismWeb Manager prior to this enhancement, after the PrismWeb update is completed:
    1. Users will need to set the time zone at PrismWeb Manager > Setup > Site Options > System Setup.
    2. Users will need to verify/modify the times on any pre-existing promotions, or call Support to have a script run to set all pre-existing promotions to 12:00 AM.
  2. Date/time on orders remains as before the enhancement. It is the web host server time, not the time matching the time zone set at PrismWeb Manager > Setup > Site Options > System Setup page.

Add time setting for coupons

With this enhancement, a coupon in PrismWeb Manager will have its start and end specified by time, as well as date. A time parameter is included with the date in the Start Date and Expiration Date fields in Marketing > Coupons. The time can be specified to the minute. The coupon will start at the set start time, and will end after the set expiration time.

The first step to utilize the time parameter for promotions is to set a time zone for the store on the PrismWeb Manager > Setup > Site Options > System Setup page in the Store Time Zone field.

New coupons will have a default time of 12:00 AM for both start and expiration. The time can be edited in PrismWeb Manager by typing a new time into the Start Date and Expiration Date fields. If the time is typed incorrectly, the system will either display an alert specifying the error for correction, or standardize the time input upon clicking Submit (for a new coupon) or Update Coupon (editing a pre-existing coupon).

Please note:

  1. Regarding Coupons that pre-exist in PrismWeb Manager prior to this enhancement, after the PrismWeb update is completed:
    1. Users will need to set time zone at PrismWeb Manager > Setup > Site Options > System Setup page.
    2. Users will need to verify/modify the times on any pre-existing coupons, or call Support to have a script run to set all pre-existing coupons to 12:00 AM
  2. Date/time on orders remains as before the enhancement. It is the web host server time, not the time matching the time zone set at PrismWeb Manager > Setup > Site Options > System Setup.

Update coupon and promotion UI to be more informative

If no time zone has been set on the PrismWeb Manager > Setup > Site Options > System Setup page, the user will see the following message when creating or editing a promotion/coupon: "Whoops! Looks like no time zone has been set in your site settings. Start and end times are based off of the time zone set in your settings. Please go to Setup > Site Options > System Setup and set the Store Time Zone setting to the appropriate time zone."

Add check staging button to deploy page

Prior to change, users would deploy changes without checking their staging site first. There is now a Check Staging button added to the deployment page that allows users to open their staging site in a new tab to review their changes before they deploy them. There is a note that reminds the user to "Check your changes before deploying!"
