Returns Mobile Toolkit

The Returns program allows you to select items that you would like put on a proposed return.

How to use Returns

Touch the Returns icon .

This will open the Proposed Returns Screen.

If necessary, touch the Location to change location.

Enter the item ID in the XREF field on the screen.  The item ID can be the item’s XREF or ISBN.  The XREF can be scanned or you can enter the item ID using the keyboard.  If you manually enter the ID, touch “Search”.

Depending on the type of item that you entered, different screens will come up.

If you choose an item that has multiple occurrences in the system, a screen will appear that allows you to choose which kind of item you are returning.  If you would like to go back and enter a different XREF touch “Back”.

After you select an item, a screen will appear that will ask you how many of that particular item you would like to return.  If you would like to cancel the return and enter a different XREF, touch Back.

Enter the amount you are returning for the location selected and touch Update.

If you touch “Details”, the lookup screen showing all the information about that particular item will appear.

Note: The items that you are returning musthave an inventory record at your store for you to return the merchandise.  There also must be stock on hand for that item at your location.

Returns in PrismCore

In order to get the Returns from the iPhone to your PrismCore program, go to the Ship/Receive Tab, down to the Returns Folder, and into the Autogen Returns Module.  Change the settings to be what you want and make sure that the Include Items from PDA box is checked.  Choose whether you would like this Autogen process to pull records created by any user or just admin users.

To see a preview of what items are going to be put onto the AG Return, click the Report button. This report (example shown below) shows which items you are returning from which location and how many of that particular item are being returned among various other information.  Note that this does not actually create the Return, it just shows you what will be on the Return if you decide to Autogen it.

After you look over the report, and if you are satisfied with it, go back to the AG Return module and click the Start Autogen button.  This will actually create the Return in PrismCore.  From there, treat it just like any other Return.
