Order Fulfillment Mobile Toolkit
The order fulfillment module is designed to allow users to pick and process mail or web orders from the iPhone. Please note, this feature does NOT allow users to alter tenders or shipping types, or to do exchanges.
How to Use Order Fulfillment
Touch the Order Fulfillment icon.
The Order Fulfillment search screen will display. This screen allows you to search for the orders you wish to pick, and process.
You can choose to search for orders in a number of ways.
By location
By range of orders, or for a single order
By date
By Tender Type
By Status
By Shipping Code.
To change any of the search options, simply tap in the field, and change your parameter, then choose “Select”.
Once finished, you will return to the search parameters screen. To search, touch the “Search” button.
The system will then display a listing of the orders that match the criteria you specified. By default, all orders are automatically selected for picking. If desired, you can touch “De-select All” which will uncheck all orders, allowing you to check only specific orders in the listing. Any orders that are in use by another user will display as “Locked”.
To see more detail about a specific order, you can touch the > icon, and the system will display the order detail.
Once you have chosen the orders you wish to pick, and ship, you need to decide if you want to pick and process the orders using batch mode, or single mode.
Batch mode: In batch mode, the system will display ALL items to be picked on a single screen. Once all items have been picked, the screen will shift to a shipping screen, where you can process the orders one by one.
Single Mode: In single mode, the system will display one order at a time for you to pick, and ship, in the same screen.
How to Process Using Batch Mode
Once you have searched for the orders you wish to work with, you will make sure the “Batch Mode” button is set to “On”, and will press “Pick”.
This will display a listing of all items on all orders selected to be picked and shipped. Using either the scanner on the cradle, or the camera, you will scan the items you wish to ship to the customers.
As you scan, the screen will update to display the items you have picked, and those you still need.
If you need to cancel or substitute an item on the order, simply touch the line in the grid. This will take you to a detail screen.
To cancel an item, touch the + sign, and increase the quantity to the right amount.
To substitute an item, touch the Substitute button at the bottom of the screen. This will ONLY substitute a new to use book, or vice versa.
If you substitute, you will see a line added to the item screen, in blue, that shows the substitution line. You will also still see the original line, now with an outstanding quantity of 0.
Those you have filled show in green, while those that remain unfilled remain in black. If there is more than a quantity of 1, the line will remain black until all quantities are filled.
Once you have completely filled all the items you plan to fill, touch the Process button at the bottom of the screen.
This will take you to the shipping screen, which will display on an order by order basis. This screen will show you the items and quantity of each item on the order, as well as the number of each items you have picked.
As you scan each item to place in the box, the line will turn green, and the picked quantity will drop by the number you plan to ship. Once you are finished, you will touch the Ship button.
Touching the ship button will send a command to the ICS server to ship the mail order you have on the screen. If set up, the ICS Server will automatically print a packing slip to the default printer on the server. If you do not have a defaut printer set up, you can choose to batch print the order / quotes from Enter Mail Order. From this point, the system will process the order normally. For more information, please see the documentation on Ship Mail Order.
Your screen, once the shipment has been confirmed, will automatically move to the next order in the list to process, and you can repeat the steps until all orders are complete.
How to process using Single Mode
Once you have searched for the orders you wish to work with, you will make sure the “Batch Mode” button is set to “Off”, and will press “Pick”.
This will display a listing of items on each order individuallyon the screen. Because the assumption here is that you are picking and packing each order separately, you will only need to do one step, unlike batch processing.
