Item Lookup Mobile Toolkit

The Item Lookup application allows you to view but not modify item information. While in Item Lookup, you can toggle between viewing Item and Inventory information using the buttons labeled Item and Inventory in the middle of the screen.

How to Use Lookup

Touch the Item Lookup icon.

If necessary, touch the down arrow to change location on the drop down menu.

Once the location has been set, scan or type in the item ID. To scan the code using the camera, tap the barcode button.

If using the cradle, simply hit the scan button on the cradle, and scan the code.

You can also enter the XREF/SKU using the keyboard. If searching for a book, you can also enter the ISBN.

NOTE:  If you are not scanning barcodes but are using the keyboard to enter item IDs, you must touch the XREF field before entering the item’s ID. 

The Lookup screen will display, if scanning a new, used, or trade book.

NOTE: The system parameter for “Mark 13-digit 978 barcodes as Not Found” (WPAdmin 121 General System Parameters) will control that screen.  If the parameter is checked, the N/U/T options will appear when a 978 13- digit barcode is scanned.  If it is unchecked, the item will be located as new.

Choose the new, used, or trade by touching the appropriate button in the top right, and then touch “Next”. The Item Details screen will display. Scroll the screen with your finger to view more information, if desired.

To view product item information, touch the Item Button. Fields that are displayed in product view are (for example, this is a textbook):
