Sales Reports
NBC Partnership 2 Rentals
NBC Partnership 2 rentals are recorded as sales and therefore are included in the sales quantities and dollars of sales reports. Like regular sales, they are not included on posted sales reports or the Order Decision screen until sales are posted.
Store Managed Rentals
Store Managed rentals are recorded in the Rentals sections of the sales reports. While Store Managed rentals do not affect SOH, they do generate revenue and thus are included on the reports. Rental information for Store Managed rentals doesn’t appear on posted sales reports or at the Order Decision screen until sales are posted.
Rentals Sections
All versions of the posted sales and unposted sales reports have a Rental section. Only Store Managed rentals are included in these sections.
Rental NR Revenue
The Department Summary and Department Detail reports also include Rental NR (Not Returned) revenue. Revenue generated by charging for rentals not returned for both NBC Partnership Version 2 and Store Managed titles will be included.
Rental: Revenue collected at the time the item was rented for Store Managed
Rental NR: Revenue collected when students are charged for rentals not returned for Partnership2 and Store Managed.
Additional Information
Be aware that other sales reports do not reflect rental revenue or list the quantity rented. For example, ‘Posted Sales by Term’ reflects only items sold, not rented. Likewise, Sales History (accessible both from the Quick Menu reports and from Manual Sales) reflects only what is sold, not rented.
Posted Sales Report – Item Detail
The information in the Rentals section is for Store Managed rentals. NBC Partnership 2 rentals are included in the Sales section.
Post Sales – Department Summary
Revenue for NBC Partnership 2 Rentals is included in the amounts for SKU sales. Store Managed rentals are included in the amount for Rentals. Charges for rentals not returned (both NBC Partnership 2 and Store Managed) are included in Rental NR.

POS Reports
Register Totals Report
The Register Totals Report includes a Rentals section. Only Store Managed titles are included in the Rentals Section. NBC Partnership 2 titles are in the Sales section.
A "Rentals Not Returned" section will include charges for rentals not returned for both NBC Partnership 2 titles and Store Managed titles. If there are changes for RNRs, the "Rentals Not Returned" section will be part of the report. If there are no charges for RNRs for the date range of the report, this section will not be displayed. The "Rentals" and "Rentals Not Returned" sections only appear on the report when ‘consolidated’ is selected.
AR Reconciliation Report
NBC Partnership 2
For NBC Partnership 2 rentals, the rental price paid by the student will be listed under the AR account used to pay for the rental. The amount of the rebate for each NBC Partnership 2 rental will be under the Partnership Rebates account.
In the Account section for the student payment, there is no indication which items were sold and which were rented. If desired, you can match the names in this section to the names in the Partnership Rebate section to review which transactions included rentals.
Store Managed Rental
If the customer pays for a store managed rental, using an AR tender, it’s shown on the AR Reconciliation Report. However, there is no indicator that the item was rented, not purchased.
If an AR account is used as the rental guarantee tender, it doesn’t show on the AR report.
In the sample below, customer Scott Oro paid for a Store Managed rental using the Extended Opportunity Program.
