WPConsole Configuration - Pubnet
WPConsole services can be configured by right-clicking on the highlighted service and selecting Properties from the menu. The menu also allows you to start or stop a service, and to view the transaction history of the service.
Services that are not activated are displayed with a red X. Services that are running are displayed with a green light, and services that are stopped are displayed with a red light.
To Configure Pubnet:
1. To configure a service, select the service by clicking on it. Once the service is highlighted, right-click on the highlighted line and bring up the menu.
2. Click Properties.
3. The Pubnet configuration dialog will open.
4. Edit the following fields, as needed:
Pubnet - Use FTP?: Enable the checkbox to use the FTP transport protocol for sending and receiving documents.
Pubnet - Modem Attempts: Set this field to reflect the number of times to attempt transmission before giving up and returning an error. (No longer used.)
Pubnet - Modem Phone Number: The modem phone number as assigned by Pubnet. (No longer used.)
Pubnet - Modem Proxy User Name: The modem proxy user name as assigned by
Pubnet. . (No longer used.)
Pubnet - Modem Proxy Password: The modem proxy password as assigned by
Pubnet. . (No longer used.)
Pubnet - Modem Pubnet User Name: The modem Pubnet user name as assigned by Pubnet. (No longer used.)
Pubnet - Modem Pubnet Password: The modem Pubnet password as assigned by
Pubnet. (No longer used.)
Pubnet - Modem Port: The communications port that your modem is configured for. (No longer used.)
Pubnet - Modem Baud Rate: The rate of speed at which to connect the modem to
Pubnet (Bits At Uniform Density). This should be at least 9600.
Pubnet - FTP Proxy User Name: The FTP proxy user name as assigned by
Pubnet. Pubnet refers to this as GEIS Username.
Pubnet - FTP Proxy Password: The FTP proxy password as assigned by Pubnet. Pubnet refers to this as GEIS Password.
Pubnet - FTP Pubnet User Name: The FTP Pubnet user name as assigned by
Pubnet. Pubnet refers to this as Enterprise Username.
Pubnet - FTP Pubnet Password: The FTP Pubnet password as assigned by
Pubnet. Pubnet refers to this as Enterprise Password.
5. On the Execute Time, fill in the frequency which the service will run on your server.
6. When finished, click OK.
Stopping or Starting the Pubnet Service.
Before you can use the Pubnet service, the service must be started. To start the Pubnet service:
1. Right click the Pubnet line in the WPConsole box.
2. Choose 'Start Service' from the options menu.
3. A green light should now appear next to the Pubnet service line in
WPConsole.
On occasion, you may need to stop the Pubnet services. To stop the Pubnet service:
1. Right click the Pubnet line in the WPConsole box.
2. Choose 'Stop Service' from the options menu.
3. A red light should now appear next to the Pubnet service line in
WPConsole.
