Add Academic Department

  1. Select + Add from Departments screen.

     

  2. Enter short Name.

  3. Enter long name of department in Description.

  4. Enter Code if applicable.

  5. Select Campus from drop down.

  6. Is Active? checkbox defaults to checked, deselect if desired.

  7. Select Save.

Name

Short name of department. Generally, this is the abbreviation used in the course catalog (i.e. ENGL).  80 character limit.

Description

Long name of department (i.e. English).  255 character limit.

Code

Optional field used for additional identifier.  20 character limit. 

Campus

The campus at which this department is used.
