SOH Information Sent to Web Partnership 1

If you have WebPRISM as your website, rental prices for books with rental records will display on your website for the rental period as long as the maximum number of rentals has not been reached, or SOH is greater than zero.  What is interpreted by PrismWeb as SOH is set in PrismCore Admin in Store Information <Ctrl+J 102>.

Current Stock On Hand


This setting sends SOH minus any outstanding rentals to the web, without taking into consideration any unposted sales or textbook reservations. 

Subtract Unposted Sales


This setting sends the “On Shelf” quantity minus any outstanding rentals to the web.  This setting takes into consideration unposted sales.  This is the recommended setting if your store doesn’t do textbook reservations.

Subtract Reserved


This setting sends SOH minus any outstanding rentals and minus any textbook reservations to the web, without taking into consideration any unposted sales.

Subtract both Unposted Sales and Reserved


This setting sends the “On Shelf” quantity minus any outstanding rentals and minus any textbook reservations to the web.  This setting takes into consideration both unposted sales and textbook reservations.  This is the recommended setting if your store does textbook reservations.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. In PrismCore Admin, access Store Information <Ctrl+J 102>.
  2. Click the Miscellaneous tab.
  3. Select Web as the filter using the down arrow.
  4. Click the down arrow on the Value cell for SOH Information Sent to Web.
  5. Select the setting.
  6. Click in another cell to finish the editing.
  7. If multi-location,
    1. Click the green ‘forward” arrow in the toolbar.
    2. Repeat these steps for each location.
  8. Save the settings.
