There are three tabs on the Quick Menu that show rental information:  Item Info, Rental Info, and Order Decisions.

Item Info Tab

The Item Info tab on the Quick Menu displays a Rental Y/N parameter.  If a current rental record exists for the title, Y will display.  If no rental record exists for the title, N will display.

Note that this parameter doesn’t indicate whether or not there are outstanding rentals.  This parameter only indicates that a current rental record exists for the title.  It appears on the Item Info tab for both the new and used records.

In addition, in the location information, the Rental Qty column reflects current outstanding rentals.  It also appears on the Item Info tab for both new and used.  In the above screen, there are 2 outstanding rentals new.

Rental Info Tab

The Rental Info tab on the Quick Menu displays the total rentals for a rental period in the Rentals Done column and the current outstanding rentals in the Rental Outstanding column.  New and used rental quantities are shown on the separate tabs for new and used records.

Order Decision Tab

The rental fields on the Order Decision tab in the Quick Menu reflect current outstanding rentals.

The rental quantities shown here are not tied to an individual term and therefore show all outstanding rental quantities, regardless of rental periods and terms.  These quantities increase as books are rented and decrease as rentals are refunded and/or returned by the students.
