 NEW FEATURES

Facebook Pixel Implementation

Added support for Facebook Pixel. eRatex version 1.13 support six Facebook Pixel events: Add to Cart, Initiate Checkout, Page View, Purchase, Search, and View Content.

Three eRatex Settings must be configured to use Facebook Pixel: facebook.Pixel.Id, facebook.Pixel.Entity.AddToCart.XmlPackage, and facebook.Pixel.Enabled.

ENHANCEMENTS

All About Me: My Transactions Updates

Refer to My Transactions within the eRatex online Help manual to learn more. In order to offer My Transactions on your site, Ratexnet will need to be installed with your local VR instance. If you currently have Ratexnet installed for your production VR account, it will need to be patched with the My Transactions update. Please contact PrismRBS support to open a ticket for the install/update.

  • New filter options.

It is now possible to filter the transactions list by Order ID, Location (Store Type), Order Date, and Order Amount.

  • New reorder buttons on order history and order details pages.

For the reorder button to appear, at least one of the original items must still be available for purchase through eRatex.

  • New functionality to enable users to re-send a receipt for any order listed in My Transactions. Available on Order History and Order Detail pages.

Shopper Notification Update

eRatex now prevents a rare scenario where a hosted payment gateway rejecting a shopper's payment method that would cause site failure for that shopper.

In this scenario, eRatex displays the value assigned to the "hostedgateway.generalerror" Prompt. The default value for this prompt asks the shopper to retry their payment method.

Admin Update

eRatex now provides more control over how much is logged for 404 ("Not Found") HTTP errors. Setting SysLog.Http404.LoggingLevel can be adjusted from None

  • no 404 logging - up to 

Error, which displays complex logging with all available information. By default, this new setting is set to Warning, which logs 404 errors with a short, informative message.

Textbook / ISBN Search Enhancement

Previous versions displayed only the textbook title when shoppers searched for textbooks not yet adopted. In this scenario, eRatex 1.13 now behaves as follows:

  • Shows textbook title and all content.

  • Hides the buy button, preventing the shopper from purchasing the textbook.

  • Displays to shopper the contents of the "TextbookPurchaseUnavailable" Topic, which eRatex administrators can modify to suit their needs.

MISCELLANEOUS / MAINTENANCE

  • eRatex now sends PaymentMethod = PayPal to Visual Ratex so that, ultimately, bookstores can easily identify payments made through PayPal Checkout.

  • Fixed an issue where eRatex calls to Visual Ratex were unnecessarily logged.

  • Fixed an edge-case issue related to cached shipping rates.

  • Removed a number of eRatex Settings currently irrelevant and/or misleading within the eRatex platform environment.

  • Several eRatex-specific fixes to internal automated deployment software, improving deployment reliability and performance.
