eRATEX 1.11

Features included in eRATEX release 1.11:

 Feature Updates

  • Pending: Added My Transactions feature to the shopper account page.

Extensive development has gone into this feature. As of yet, the feature is not fully tested or implemented. Please watch for updates soon.

My Transactions enables customers to view all account transactions generated through POS and eRATEX. This new feature allows shoppers to view their entire order history from a link on the account page, regardless of where their orders were placed.

To take advantage of this feature when it becomes available, you will need to have RatexNet installed on your system. Contact customer support to start that process. The install will require a firewall change on your network. RatexNet is comparable to OMNI which is currently installed at all stores.

  • Pending: PayPalCheckout

Much development has gone into this new functionality. As of yet, the feature is not fully tested or implemented. Please watch for updates soon.

When this goes live, merchants can sign up for a PayPal merchant account, configure PayPal Checkout within the Admin Console, and then begin accepting PayPal as payment. This new feature is compatible with other payment methods, available for in-store pickups and preorders, books and general merchandise, but it will not be available for collateral/rentals.

Just as with all other forms of eRATEX payments, PayPal Checkout shoppers will not be charged at time of checkout, but rather charged as the order moves through normal VR processes.

We will provide details on what you need to do to create an account with PayPal in the coming days. That process can be initiated while we complete the PayPal testing.

  • In-store pickup is now supported for shoppers who create their account during the checkout process.
  • Guest checkout can now be restricted for products based on product Category, ID, Type, and chosen checkout payment method. Also verified guest checkout works as expected with all three eRatex payment gateways (TouchNet, CyberSource, Moneris). See Guest Checkout for more information.
  • Announcements, Disclaimers, and Department Charge information can now be optionally displayed at checkout using new topics. Refer to Customizing the Checkout Process for more information.
  • Promotional prices set on Product Categories are now discounting products as expected.
  • Providing multiple local pickup options to the shopper during checkout no longer causes unusual behavior.
  • The Inline Editor now displays correctly for sites currently without the feature which choose to upgrade.

Admin Feature Updates

  • Product image management is now faster with a new "Delete all" checkbox option on the images tab of the product detail page. Click Product, Manage Products from the menu, then choose a specific product. See Multi-Image Manager for more information.
  • The Pre-Order Queue now supports managing Pre-Orders which have reached an invalid state. See Pre-Order Queue for more information.

Invalid Pre-Orders can be batch-closed as needed. If Pre-Orders are found to be invalid during processing, they are logged to the system log and will show up as invalid in the Pre-Order Queue.

  • Removed unneeded error logging in the system log which was caused by typical administrator use.

Security Updates

  • Administrators are now prevented from updating two accounts to share the same email address.
  • Importing a student schedule with an invalid last name now displays a more accurate warning.

Localization Updates

  • Corrected localization data for the Republic of Korea (KOR).
  • Corrected localization data for the Yukon Territory (YT).

Payment Gateway Updates

  • Improved support for CyberSource Hosted payment gateway. Refer to Cybersource HOSTED for more information.

CyberSource Hosted can now be configured to allow the shopper to enter their billing address offsite. The following configuration options help to make this functionality more visible and intuitive to the shopper.

New setting: ratex.CyberSourceHosted.CheckoutBillingAddressEnabled

When True, and using CyberSource Hosted as the payment method, the billing address is entered at checkout before continuing offsite to CyberSource.

When False, and using CyberSource Hosted as the payment method, the billing address is entered at CyberSource and the value of the new prompt "checkout.cybersource.nobillingaddress" is displayed at checkout. Configurations must be set at CyberSource to collect the billing address offsite.

New prompt: checkout.cybersource.nobillingaddress

If the ratex.CyberSourceHosted.CheckoutBillingAddressEnabled is False, this new prompt displays as a notification to the shopper during checkout.

The default message for this notification is "You may change your billing address after clicking 'Place Order'.".

  • Attempting to use the TouchNet Test Mode will now cause a warning that it is unsupported.
