Shopping Cart Feature Updates

  • Added Output Caching for significantly increased page load speeds for the homepage, entity pages, product pages and topics 
    • Output caching can be disabled by setting OutputCaching.Enabled to false
    • Output caching duration can be configured by the setting OutputCaching.Duration.  The default duration is 86400 seconds (24 hours)
  • Added a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Inline HTML Editor which allows admins to select and EDIT string resources and topics directly on a page
    • Inline Editing can be disabled by setting InlineEditing.Enabled to false
    • Inline Editing does not support multiple locales and is disabled for stores with more than one locale.
  • Added the ability to sign-up and setup Avalara Avatax from the admin console
    • In the Configuration menu under Taxes click on the “Automate Taxes - Avalara” link.  You will be redirected to avalara.aspx and click on the orange “Get a Free Trial” button to sign up.
  • Upgraded pagination to be WCAG compliant
  • A confirmation notification is now displayed to customers when they request a password reset
  • Added missing content prompts for authentication pages
  • Free shipping now works with custom shipping methods
  • Hidden terms are no longer accessible in booklist.aspx
  • Pre-order courses now display when students are required to authenticate
  • Promotions using category filter IncludeChildren now display the discount flag
  • Removed semicolon showing up at the bottom of every page
  • The credit card payment method is automatically selected when it’s the only payment method available
  • The order confirmation page now displays correctly when a customer completes an order with any payment method
  • The course list builder no longer crashes when all terms are set to display or hidden
  • Updated the order history in the Account page to display the correct ISBN for eBooks
  • Updated the receipt to display correct product SKUs
  • Variant images now display when selecting a variant from the dropdown on product pages
  • Fixed a bug with the address company field length
  • Fixed a bug with address verification not working for some addresses
  • Fixed a bug with pricing for the Bronto Integration including incorrect discount amounts
  • Fixed a bug with the RATEX.AuthUsingNewBookPrice setting and now new and used book prices and subtotals are displayed
  • Fixed a bug with the Student Schedule File Import where “No courses were found for the Student ID and Term you entered.”
  • Fixed an issue on entity pages (Category, Department, Manufacturer) where the items per page selected by the customer reset to the default items per page when paging
  • Fixed an issue with incorrect no images displaying in an xml package
  • Fixed an issue where the VR payment method was incomplete when paying with ARCharge and both a preorder item and a standard item were on the same order.
  • Course_GET5 VERBA calls are now logged properly

Admin Feature Updates

  • Added a list of available admin forms per admin roles
  • Added the email field to the Manage Ratings form
  • Added support to search contacts by first and last name in the Manage Contacts form
  • Booklist now checks for current term when importing custom path list
  • Custom order data now displays in the Order Details form
  • The configure test mode feature now works as expected for TouchNet Hosted payment gateway in the Wizard form
  • The multi-image manager now always displays in the Edit Product form
  • Updated pre-order conversion to default textbook selecting to lowest price instead of most stock
