Issue:

Pushed an item to the website and need to add pictures of the different shirt colors that are available. The multi-image manager link is not showing on the image tab for the product.

Solution:

For the Multi-Image Manager links to be displayed, you have to have at least one published variant for the product. The product itself can be unpublished so it won't show on the web site, but at least one variant has to be published.
