Campus eBookstore (CEI) Setup and Configuration - December 2022

Establish a CEI account, and request an API key

The first step is to notify CEI & PrismRBS of your interest and request an integration API key from CEI.

Once your CEI account is configured, share your API key with PrismRBS to set up your integration.

PrismRBS will need:

  • API key

  • Priority of CEI as your digital provider, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd (depending on other digital content providers at your store)

  • Will you sell digital content in-store, online, or both?

Adopt digital content by way of CEI

Use the CEI website to adopt the digital content that you wish to sell in your store. There are a couple of rules to keep in mind…

  • Any adoptions must have a valid ISBN number. You may need to use an ISBN generator for custom content.

  • Only items with a price > 0.00 will be offered for purchase by Prism applications. Please be sure that a price is set for content that you intend to sell immediately.

Confirm adopted digital products are available following the nightly sync

If your CEI account and API key are configured correctly, A nightly sync process will refresh CEI’s digital content in your store daily. You may confirm that the ISBNs, Titles, and prices that were adopted through CEI are available via PrismWeb Manager > Textbooks > Digital Content > matched adoptions.

Confirm your Store Management system is configured for digital content.

(Must be completed once. This may already be done if you have more than one digital content provider)

Additionally, a separate, specific digital content redemption email will be sent to the shopper.
