In order to sell Gift Cards at the POS, they must be created in Mosaic.
There are a couple ways to do this now.
You can create your gift cards ahead of time and then when you sell them at the POS, you can go back into Mosaic and enter in the balance they were sold for.
(Searching for the card code, selecting edit, then entering in the balance)
Alternatively, you can enter in the balances at the time of creation in Mosaic and sell them at the POS for that amount.
Something to think about for this method is that you then have gift cards with preloaded balances. Be careful where you leave these.
The last method is that when you sell them at the POS, you then enter them into Mosaic and enter in the amounts.
Make sure before the gift card is taken by the customer that it is entered into Mosaic.
Main Record
In the Gift Cards homepage, you are able to search for and edit existing gift cards. Toggle what is viewed in the results field with the “Show Active Only” dropdown to either Show All Statuses, Show Active Only, or Show Inactive only.
Select + Add from Gift Cards screen.
Add Gift Cards
Enter the Gift Card Code.
Enter PIN #.
Select Status from dropdown.
Select Issue Date by clicking inside field to use calendar.
Last Trans. Date defaults in upon use.
Select Expiration Date by clicking inside field to use calendar if applicable.
Enter Comment if desired. Internal Only.
Select Save.

On the Gift Cards homepage, select Export.
A PDF downloads to your browser.
Open PDF to Gift Card Report.
View information.
