Initial setup for communication with DEP is done through NBC PrismRBS Development. Following this setup, the user must enter the Apple items into serial number maintenance, if they are not already there, and mark them as eligible for Apple DEP. When items are then sold, the user will put the customer Apple DEP number into the customer file. Then, nightly, NBC PrismRBS sends Hyperspace an export of valid Apple Serial Numbers and customers for DEP enrollment. Hyperspace then communicates that information to Apple.
