Connection between PrismCore, Monsoon and Marketplace Websites

Some of you may be offering your inventory online either through your PrismWeb website or through online marketplaces such as Amazon.com or Half.com.  If you don’t have Monsoon and are offering your inventory for sale on websites such as Amazon.com, you must manually update the website with your stock on hand and prices. When items are sold, you manually record them in PrismCore.

With Monsoon, you can automate the process and optimize selling your inventory online.  The Monsoon Adapter imports inventory items from your PrismCore system and automatically lists them on multiple marketplaces simultaneously. After an item has sold, Monsoon automatically decreases your stock on hand on all of your marketplaces, so you aren’t at risk of selling an item you no longer have in stock.

Pricing is automatically adjusted and re-calculated so that the prices of your items are always competitive. Monsoon allows you to manage the prices for your items effortlessly so that you will meet your margin and match your competitors. It is just as likely that Monsoon will increase as decrease your prices.

Orders from your marketplace websites are sent to your Monsoon account. To ship orders to your customers, logon to your Monsoon account and process/ship the order. The shipping of the order in Monsoon sends a mail order to PrismCore. The imported mail order’s status is automatically set to “closed” and the order is tendered with two tenders, an Accounts Receivable tender and a special tender equating to commission paid.

For selling books, Monsoon communicates with these four websites:

In this document, we will use Amazon.com as our main example.
