PrismCore Course Materials Buyer - Upon Request

Session includes all aspects of the Course Materials cycle from Textbooks Setup to Closing a Term. Designed for Course Material buyers involved in the buying and selling of course materials.

You must complete the Prerequisite Videos and complete the Prerequisite Training Survey before the session begins.

AT THE END OF THIS SESSION, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Maintain the vendor file.

  • Open and close textbook terms.

  • Enter course requests and make order decisions.

  • Order books from wholesalers, distributors and publishers.

  • Enter receiving information and create discrepancies.

  • Enter invoice information and print discrepancies.

  • Create a buyback list and conduct a buyback using PrismCore.

  • Create sales to wholesale both automatically and manually.

  • Print shelf tags.

  • Create and resolve credit requests.

  • Maintain text inventory and make stock adjustments.

  • Use the available search methods to locate and identify textbook records.

  • Understand the information displayed on the Item Maintenance screen and how to access additional information in order to answer customer inquiries.

  • Understand the different screens at which the selling price of a book can be changed and the impact of making a price change.

SESSION LENGTH:

This online session requires a 6 hour daily commitment with breaks over a three day period. Please plan on attending all required sessions for a complete training. (10am - 12pm, 12:30 - 2:30pm, 3 - 5pm Central Time)

Course Materials Buyers/Managers Store Managers who want an understanding of all aspects of the course materials cycle..

COST AND REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

This training session falls under the Bronze level Training Package and above (see the Training Packages). If your store has not purchased a training package, cost for training is $1,350 per participant, plus applicable taxes.

An instructor-led online course requires the time commitment listed.

These sessions include opportunities to engage with an instructor and other training participants.

To participate in an instructor-led online session, you will need a computer with Internet access, a phone by the computer, and a environment with no interruptions or background noises.

An email confirmation of registration will be sent when you register. About a week before the session, you will receive additional emails providing a URL, login information, and other details. Be sure to read all emails thoroughly.
