Updated the “Customer Import” behavior to minimize the impact on POS and Mosaic systems while running the import. Currently, a user is unable to effectively modify Mosaic or POS customer data while the import is running. With this update, we will deliver a significant reduction in the amount of time the Customer Import takes to run, minimizing impact to store operations.
Gift Card Import
Previously, a gift card import created new gift cards with individual account IDs instead of grouping them together as intended. We have now fixed this issue by implementing logic that groups them automatically while also checking whether a gift card account already exists. If it does, the import will add new gift cards to that existing accountUpon import, Mosaic now consolidates gift card numbers as a common account type as expected. This change, while unnoticed in the Mosaic UI, enables expected reporting and management of imported gift card numbers.
