The execution of scheduled data import and export jobs has been enabled. You can specify the data source and destination, as well as the frequency of the transfer. The scheduler will execute the job automatically at the designated time, with the ability to monitor job progress via a Job Log and receive notifications in case of errors or failures as you continue to use Mosaic.

Currently, the only jobs that can be scheduled are Customer AR Account Balances and Customers.

Access to an ftp site is required in order to use Data Exchange.

  1. Select +Add

  2. In the Add Data Exchange Job screen, select your desired Job Action and Job Type.

    1. Note: If you are choosing Import, you can review the corresponding Import in Admin menu (download sample CSV) to ensure you are adding all the necessary fields. See below for links to field definition documents. All fields must be in the file but non-required fields can be left blank.

    2. For Export, review Transaction Search within Reports to see what fields you can be expecting to see.

  3. Enter the Job Name and Job Description.

  4. Under Transport Method, select ftp or sftp. Enter the ftp address, port, user name, and password. Enter the file name and directory. If this is an import, this is the name the job will look for in the specified directory on the ftp server. If this is an export, this is what Mosaic will name the file and where it will place it on the ftp server. For exports, select whether or not to append the date and time on the file’s name. When toggled on, exported files will have the following filename format: {{[File Name]-YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS}}, with the timestamp based on local store time.

  5. When filling out the job scheduler, one thing to consider is what time of day you will be scheduling this for. If it is an export, and you are doing daily transactions, you may want to schedule it for 11:59pm, or the next morning and have it show Yesterdays transactions.

  6. Select Save.

  7. After Save, you can select “Run Now” to test how the export looks and make adjustments as needed. See below for links to field definition documents.
