Quick Menu is both a means of allowing transactions that not involving merchandise such as Pay Ins, Pay Outs, Gift Card Sales, Made to order items, etc. and also for selling services, non-merchandise, and merchandise that lends itself to being located via the quick menu instead of scanned.
Because the Quick Menu is very customizable by store and register this section of the transaction guide covers various but not necessarily all possible Quick Menu Transactions.
All aspects of the Quick Menu are set up in the PrismPOS Cloud Admin.

Quick SKU and Non-Merchandise Transactions

Quick SKUs allow you to add SKUs from your back office database into a menu for ease of selection from the Quick Menu instead of scanning the item.
Non-merchandise are items or services that you sell but do not track in your inventory.

  1. Select Quick Menu.
  2. Select appropriate button and locate the item/non-merchandise to sell.
  3. Finish selecting/scanning items then select Pay.
  4. Payment Method displays in Details Frame.
  5. Select tender and complete the transaction.
  6. The transaction completes and receipt prints.
  7. Transaction Complete dialog box displays.
  8. Select Reprint Receipt, Print Gift Receipt, or enter an email address in the Email Receipt field.
  9. Select Next Transaction.

Pay In and Pay Out Transaction

All Pay In and Pay Out are set up in the back-office system and are available by selecting Quick Menu.
Pay In Cash

...

  1. Enter the amount in the Enter the Pay Out Amount field and select Add.
  2. After all items are added, select Pay.
  3. Payment Method displays in Details Frame.
  4. Select Cash.
  5. Cash: Tender Amount displays, select amount.
  6. Transaction completes and receipts print.
  7. Transaction Complete dialog box displays.
  8. Select Reprint Receipt, Print Gift Receipt, or enter an email address in the Email Receipt field.
  9. Select Next Transaction.

Gift Card Activation

  1. To sell and activate a gift card, select the Quick Menu.
  2. Select Gift Card.

  1. Swipe or enter the gift card number on the left and the amount of the gift card on the right.
  2. Select Add in lower right corner of Details Frame.
  3. Complete the transaction as normal.

Add to the Balance of an Existing Gift Card at PrismPOS Register

  1. To add to the balance of an existing gift card, select the Quick Menu.
  2. Select Gift Card.

...

  1. Select the appropriate button under Gift Card, for example GC.
  2. The Details Frame displays in two parts, Gift Card on the left and Enter the Pay In Amount on the right.
  3. Swipe or enter the gift card number on the left and the amount to add to the gift card on the right.
  4. Select Add in lower right corner of Details Frame.
  5. Complete the transaction as normal.

Refund Gift Card

  1. To refund an existing gift card, select the Quick Menu.
  2. Select Gift Card.

  1. Select the appropriate button under Gift Card, for example GC.
  2. The Details Frame displays in two parts, Gift Card on the left and Enter the Pay In Amount on the right.
  3. Swipe or enter the gift card number on the left and the amount to add to the gift card on the right.
  4. Select Add in lower right corner of Details Frame.
  5. Select Refund Item in lower right corner of the Details Frame.
  6. Complete the transaction as normal.

Made to Order

Made to order allows for selling of various items where the customer will need to select the different parts of the item. For example a deli sandwich where they may select wheat or white bread, etc.
Depending on how your registers made to order options are set up will determine what options you see at your register. In the example the Made to Order items are under Café and we have sandwich, drink, chips, and dessert. Under Sandwich, the customer has a made to order sandwich as well as pre-made sandwiches.
