Rental Due Date Extensions
NBC does not allow Guests to extended their rental due date.
Rental Reminders
NBC sends out 3 rounds of rental reminder emails to Guests. They are sent 10 days from due date, 5 days from due date, and 1 day from due date. The emails go to the email address the customer provided when they originally rented the book(s).
Late Charges
We currently do not charge any late fees. We do allow a 7-day grace period after the due date before we will begin to charge for the non-return of the book(s). It is up to each store whether they also want to allow the 7-day grace period. (If a customer calls into guest services, they will get the option of the 7-day grace period regardless of the store). We accept the return at our Head Quarters in Lincoln, NE. The 7-day grace period option should only be given to Guests within the first 7 days after the store’s due date. It is possible a Guest will be charged for the non-return if their book(s) do not reach our warehouse to be checked in before we begin charging. The Guest will be fully refunded when their book(s) are checked in.

Be sure the Guest includes in the package: their name, phone number, email address used on the rental record, and their order/receipt number. The Guest is responsible for the package until it reaches our warehouse. We highly suggest they get and keep the tracking number until the book(s) are checked in.
