KB343: Apple BEATS Promo setup in eRATEX

In setting up an Apple Beats Headphone promotion of getting a pair of Beats headphones free with the purchase of select Apple computers we have found that certain parts of the promo logic does not work properly with in eRatex (Vortx) when trying to use 'Discount Applicable Line Items' or the 'Gift with Purchase' when the Beats headphones were set as an up-sale product to each selected Apple computer. The difficulty was to limit only one headphone per order and to apply the discount only if the selected computer was in the shopping cart. If the computer was removed from the shopping cart during checkout then also the headphones would revert back to their normal price and the discount promo would not be applied.
