Admin Enhancements

  • Code was added to Thunder Admin Tool > Configuration > Discounts to allow the editing of the Display Order. Assigning a display order to the discounts will determine the order the item discounts are displayed at the register. The default is zero, so any discounts with a zero for the display order will display first followed by sequential numbers. When a new discount is added in PrismCore Admin, the Display Order will default to 999 and display last at the register.

Admin Bug Fixes

  • When the quick menu buttons were changed from the default color, the text was black so this made it hard to read the text on the buttons. Code has been changed so that if the color chosen is not the default color, the text of the button will be in white.
  • The Digital Text password was getting logged as plain text in the log-file and was displayed as encrypted in Thunder Admin Tool > POS Setup > Parameters > Digital Text. These have been changed so that the password in the log-file is encrypted and the password in Thunder Admin Tool > POS Setup > Parameters > Digital Text is in clear text.
  • In Thunder Admin Tool > Reports > Register Report, it would take a while for the report to display when changing filters (POS, Register and Date) from the drop down. A "Run Report" button has been added so that filters can be changed without the report loading until the user is ready to run it.
  • When the App Insights code was added it was noticed that the Register Report and Cashier Report was getting an error. This has been fixed so that the Register Report and Cashier Report prints correctly without error.

Register Enhancements

  • When scanning a rental XREF,  at the register, the rental is now added to the transaction, without the need to to select Apply.

Register Bug Fixes

  • Sales events, with a large number of items, was taking 7-10 seconds to add the item to a transaction. This has been fixed so that a sale event with a large number of items quickly adds to the transaction.
  • When adding additional items to a suspended transaction, containing a Transaction Discount, the discount was not added correctly for the new item. This has been fixed so that when a suspended transaction, with a transaction discount, is retrieved another item is added to the transaction, the discount on the new item is correct.
  • When an item that was sold at one location is exchanged at another by scanning the receipt (must be a scanned receipt), the transaction would not upload to PrismCore. This has been fixed so that a cross store even exchange that is scanned correctly flows back to PrismCore.
  • Some items when being scanned were coming up with multiple search results that were the same. This has been fixed so that when an item is scanned, the item is either added to the transaction or the search results display the new and used option.
  • When an item with a multiple quantity and tax override was done on a transaction, the transaction was not flowing back to PrismCore. This has been fixed so that if a transaction has an item with a multiple quantity and a tax override, the transaction flows correctly to PrismCore.
  • When a rental barcode was scanned, the scanner would stop working. This has been fixed so that the scanner continues to scan correctly after a scanning a rental barcode.
  • If a barcode was scanned during the transaction complete process an item could be added to the receipt that was not part of the transaction. This has been fixed so that if a barcode is scanned during the tendering process or transaction complete process the message "Cannot add items while tendering" is given.
  • Customers were taking around 20 seconds to add to the transaction. This has been fixed so add within about 2 seconds.
  • When an F/A Link tender was used the transaction total was not matching the approved amount. This has been fixed so that the approved amount matches the transaction total.
  • Cbord Odyssey refunds were broken. This has been fixed so that refunds work correctly.

  • If a transaction is manually entered that was sold at a different location, the message "Unable to view receipt (receipt #) because it was completed at a different POS location" but if you scan the receipt, the receipt comes up (with errors, but it still displays and can be used to refund). This has been fixed to match the manually entered behavior and display the same message until we are able to fully make cross store refunds work correctly.
  • Canadian Only:  When a cash rounding tender was used on a transaction, the transaction would not complete because it wanted a second tender for the extra rounding amount. For example, if the total was $134.41 and a Cash Rounding tender was used, it would tender for $134.40 and still want another tender for the .01. This has been fixed so that when a cash rounding tender is used, the transaction completes correctly without wanting a tender for the left over amount from the rounding.
  • Liberty POS:  When a rental transaction was ran on Liberty POS, the damage fee was not coming over, it was displaying NULL. This has been fixed so that the Damage Fee comes over correctly when a rental is sold in Liberty POS.

Bug Fixes

  • The MX interface did not have a CANCEL operation. When the register timed out waiting on MX there was no way to recover. This has been fixed so that when the MX pin pad times out, there is a message on the pin pad as well as the register.
  • Code was added to the MX call to include the full receipt number for parsing/matching on the VR side.
