Concepts of Store Managed Rentals

This document contains information for Store Managed Rentals. If your store is using the NBC Textbook Rental Partnership Version 1, NBC Textbook Rental Partnership Version2, or Nebraska Managed Rental Program (NRMP) please refer to the documentation for those programs.  Store Managed Rentals can be used in conjunction with any of the three Nebraska Rental programs.

Some of the key features of Store Managed Rentals include:

  • The store controls which titles will be rentable.
  • The store manages rental pricing.
  • Store Managed Rentals stay in your stock on hand and the rental price has a separate line in Sales Reports and Stock Ledger.
  • The store is responsible for rental reminder emails and charging for rentals not returned.
  • Store Managed Rentals can be done in conjunction with any Nebraska Partnership Rental Program (NMRP or Partnership).
  • Rentals can be textbooks or general merchandise items.
