Creating a Jumpbook DCC
In order to effectively track Jumpbook sales and returns separately from other textbooks, PrismCore Support strongly recommends creating a Jumpbook DCC.
NOTE: Department codes in PrismCore must begin with a number greater than zero (e.g. 10 is a permissible department code, but 01 is not). Class and category codes may begin with a zero, although 00 is not recommended.
To create a Jumpbook DCC:
Access the Department/Class/Category module in WPAdmin.
Right-click on the Textbook department in the window on the left and select 'Add' from the mouse options menu.
The 'Add New DCC' dialog opens.
The Department code will default to your Textbook department code.
The Department name will default to your Textbook department name.
Enter the class code (2 numeric digits) you wish to use for Jumpbooks into the field on the Class line (Example: 40)
Enter the class name (15 characters maximum) in the second field on the Class line (Example: Jumpbooks).
Enter the category code (2 numeric digits) in the first field on the Category line (Example: 10).
Enter the category name (15 characters maximum) in the second field on the Category line (Example: Jumpbooks).
NOTE: When adding DCCs, the department, class and/or category fields may display information for the DCC record that is currently highlighted (at the department, class, or category level) in the window on the left. When this happens, simply replace the information that shows with the new information you wish to add.
10. Select the Textbook system type for the DCC from the combo box.
11. Click OK when finished.
12. The new department appears in the DCC tree.
