WinPRISM Version 25 Release Notes Mobile Toolkit

WinPrism Version 25 Release Notes

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Currently Version 25.x.x of WinPRISM is not posted on the PCI Website for PA- DSS validation. If you require a validated version, please use V24 for upgrade or installation.
The following features are NOT available for use in Version 25:
Mobile Toolkit
Textbook Bundles
Tokenization and Point to Point Encryption
NBC will alert you when these features are ready for general use.
Winprism 25 now supports SQL 2012
Hardware and Software Requirements for Installing SQL Server 2012
Windows XP does not support any version of SQL 2012.
The 2003 Windows server operating system line is no longer supported.
POS Distributed servers must have the same SQL version, or a higher version, as the ICS server.
For Failsafe systems, if POS is running SQL 2012 the Failsafe must run SQL 2012 as well. Also the register must be running Windows 7 to run Failsafe. The register program will run under XP, but will not do Failsafe.
If POS is running SQL 2008 the Failsafe will need to be SQL 2008 as well. These failsafe registers can run XP or Windows 7.

Mobile Applications

Note: WinPRISM 25 contains support for the Mobile Toolkit apps, but these applications are still in pre-release for this version.
Order Fulfillment iPhone App and Partial Fulfillments (484896)
The request was created to correct an issue involving subsequent shipping records after orders were partially filled on the Mobile Fulfillment App. If an order quantity was partially filled at one time, accessed at a later date, and partially filled with more quantities at that time, the second shipment record created in WinPrism Ship Mail Orders would contain incorrect quantities. Now, any order that is partially fulfilled on the application will have the correct quantities on its shipment records that are created each time a new quantity is shipped.
Mobile Mail Order Fulfillment Complete (48830)
The request was created to implement the server side portions of Mobile Mail Order Fulfillment. These changes include various moves and modifications to some portions of code dealing with the closing of mail/web orders and mail/web order refunds/exchanges. For more information, see 'Mobile Mail Order Fulfillment" documentation.
2D Scanner Issues (497527 and 497528 and 502085)
Tradebooks with a price in the barcode supplement (last 5 digits starting with a 5) were not correctly scanning using the 2d sled. This has been fixed so that the 2d sled picks up the last 5 digits of the tradebook barcode.
Scanner Issues with Text Barcodes (489935)
The request was created to correct the 2d scanners from dropping any three digit prefixes that are included in text book barcodes. Previously, these three digit prefixes (978, 290, 280 etc) were being cut-off, and the number being input by the scanner was changed.
This was causing items to be not found within the Inventory tool in the Mobile Toolkit. This issue has been resolved by re-programming the 2d scanner with new scan codes and using the Mobile Toolkit version 1.30+.
Changes for Order Fulfillment (499384)
A global unlock hammer option in WinPrism Enter Mail Orders has been added. This option is called "Unlock Phone Processed Orders" and will clear locks from any orders that are locked by the Mobile Toolkit when the option is chosen.
A message has been added to indicate if an order being processed on the phone contains an invalid rental item. The message is as follows: "Status: Rental is no longer valid. Please remove the Rental Item and add it, selecting a valid rental period. Shipment could not be closed...OK". This message is displayed if the rental period for the item is no longer valid when the shipment is processed on the mobile device.
If a default printer is not set up and an order is processed, the following message will display: "Status Could not get printer defaults, code 4104. There was an issue printing the packing slip. OK"
The request was created to implement tradebook items into the new N/U/T screen when textbooks exist in the system in the new and trade subsystems. With the previous implementation of the N/U/T selector wheel, trade was not an option. The new N/U/T screen has only been added to v1.42 INVENTORY and is being added by programming to the rest of the modules to test upon completion.
NUT Prompt (535769, P3)
The request was created to implement tradebook items into the new N/U/T screen when textbooks exist in the system in the new and trade subsystems. With the previous implementation of the N/U/T selector wheel, trade was not an option.
Better Barcode Recognition (523344, P3)
The request was created to improve the Mobil Toolkit Application's recognition of new and used barcodes when 90000 and 99990 extensions were scanned with a 2d scanner. Previously, if a used item (with extension) was scanned and updated, followed directly by a new item scanned (with extension), the item scanned would default to used. This has been corrected with the updated 2d scan codes and modifications made in the Toolkit app to better recognize what item should default to new or used. Any barcode scanned with an extension is now properly recognized and defaulted to in the System field.
Substitutions in Mail Order Fulfillment (565910, P8)
The request was created to correct the substitution process in mobile Mail Order Fulfillment. Previous to the changes, a new item could be subbed out for a used item, but only once. Any subsequent attempts to sub the item would add the item to the shipment with the incorrect price. This has been corrected so a used item can be subbed in for a new and the order can be closed on more than one order.
New Item Substitutions in Order Fulfillment (565912, P8)
The request was created to correct an issue that was occurring during order fulfillment substitutions when new items were substituted on to orders for used items. If a new item was subbed in for a used, the shipment was closing with the used price still. This has been improved so when a new item is subbed in for a used, the shipment will not be closed on the phone and must be completed in Ship Mail Orders in order to alert the user to the fact that a higher price will be charged. If a used item is subbed in for a new, the shipment will be closed on the phone with the used book price being charged.
