Viewing_Editing Existing Profiles & Users

  1. Select Security.
  2. Security information displays. The information is broken into two tabs Profiles and Users.

Description

Profiles

Determines what menu options each user attached to the profile can see when they log in.

Users

Created in PrismCore Admin or in Admin Tool. Attach Profile to determine


  1. Profiles are added first and then Users, assigning them each to a Profile.
  2. To view information about a specific profile or user, select the tab and the profile or user to view.


Profiles

  1. After selecting a Profile, the eighteen modules that you can assign access to display.
    1. Accounts Receivable: May this profile allowed to configure accounts receivable?
    2. Campus Debit Reconciliation: May this profile view Campus Debit Reconciliation information?
    3. Concierge Orders: May this profile view Concierge Orders?
    4. Discounts: May this profile configure Discounts?
    5. Key Management: May this profile edit the passphrase?
    6. Location: May this profile view Location information?
    7. MSR: May this profile Configure MSR Cards.
    8. Parameters: May this profile edit Parameters?
    9. POS: May this profile view Register or Sequence Series information?
    10. POS Devices: May this profile view POS Devices?
    11. Quick Menu: May this profile configure Quick Menus?
    12. Receipts: May this profile view Receipts?
    13. Register: What may this profile have access to on a register.

Users

  1. Select Users and the user you wish to view. The Profiles attached to the user display.


  1. Four options display for each User: Edit, Assigned Profiles, Assigned POS's, and Permissions.
    1. Edit includes, Edit and Disable & Hide.
    2. A user may have multiple profiles assigned. Select + to assign and to remove profiles.
    3. A user may have multiple POS's assigned. Select + to assign and to remove POS's.
    4. To view permissions attached to an assigned profile, select the profile and then Permissions. Use the drop down under permissions to view the various modules and the permissions assigned.


  1. Selecting Edit gives two options, Edit and Disable & Hide.
  2. Select Edit, and Edit to edit information about the user. Edit User displays.

Name

Login.

Display Name

Name that displays when logged in.

Account Locked

Uncheck to unlock account.

Require password change

Check to require user to change password.

Last Password Change

Date and time password was last changed.

Failed Login Attempts

Number of failed login attempts by user.

Reset Password

Do not use.

Card Number

You may set up a barcode scan as a login to the register. The barcode must be hand entered here.

  1. Selecting Disable & Hide, displays a Delete User dialog box. Selecting Delete, disables and hides the user.
