Picking the Order
Once you have the device registered, you can proceed to pick the customer order.
When the customer finishes their order on the site, an email or text will be sent to the Customer with an Order confirmation. This triggers the order to be picked.
Pick the order using either the concierge app on your NBC Mobile POS device, or a PrismPOS register.
Concierge App
- Log on to Concierge app.
- Select the Order you wish to pick from the list.
- Scan the book(s) that are on the order. Books show a checkmark when scanned.
- Select Process on the Concierge app.
- A suspended transaction is created.
- When the student comes to pick up their books, you will bring up the suspended receipt number by scanning the Pick List or through Suspended receipts from either MobilePOS or PrismPOS.
- The transaction displays.
- Complete the transaction.
PrismPOS Register
- Log into PrismPOS Admin Tool, and go to new Concierge Orders option on the left.
- Locate the order you wish to pick, and select Print to print the Order Pick List.
- At PrismPOS register take the Order Pick List and scan the barcode or locate the suspended receipt number at the register in Receipts.
- Enter or scan the books on the pick list that you wish to pick.
- Complete the transaction.
- Go back to the Concierge Order Queue, find the order and select Start Processing.
- Select Complete when finished.
- A message box displays with the list of the books on the order.
- How you proceed depends on whether or not you pulled all the titles on the order:
- Pulled all items on the order: Selecting Save will complete the order.
- Pulled only some items on the order: Checking the box next to a title you did not yet pull, and selecting Save will change the status of the order to Partial. Selecting Complete again will display a window with the following options:
- Cancel – will close the window with no changes.
- Yes, Close this order and create a new Order – will close the order and put it in a completed status and create a new order with the book(s) that are checked.
- No, Close this order – will close the order putting it in a completed status and not create a new order with the book(s) that were checked.
- Select Completed tab and transaction is displays.
- Reset to Processing can be selected if the order is not complete putting the order back in Active.
- An email or text is sent alerting the customer that their books are ready to be picked up at the location that was used for ordering.
- A suspended transaction is created.
- When the student comes to pick up their books, locate the suspended transaction by scanning the Pick List or through Suspended receipts from either MobilePOS or PrismPOS.
- The transaction displays.
- Complete the tr ansaction.
