System and device logs
Log
These are mostly tools for Support, however these can be utilized by stores as well. The Log will display all data that is or is not processing at the POS. If you having problems processing transactions, you can check the Log for more detailed information. This allows you to see everything from having network issues to an incorrect tender selection.

Exercise: Attempt a credit card transaction but purposely choose the wrong tender. i.e. if using Mobile Phones choose the non-mobile tender and view the error that it logs.
Security Log
The Security Log will tell you who viewed what modules and what time on the cloud. This will also tell you if someone is having problems logging in to the system.
Exercise: Purposely type your password wrong into the POS and then view the Security Log to see how the cloud flags this data.
Device Log
These are device data packets can be accessed to view problems on individual devices. This will be utilized by Support if you are getting an error on your mobiles that does not generate an actual error message.
If you are instructed to turn "logging" on, this is where the data is sent.
