Release Notes Statement
New functionality added to Mosaic is controlled by feature flags to ensure readiness prior to use in production environments. Throughout release notes the phrase “If enabled” is used to designate capabilities that may be turned on or off. Such options may be released for a limited audience or dependent upon additional updates. These options will still be referenced in release notes to make clients aware of all new application capabilities.
Transaction Search
Transaction Search now displays times based on the store's configured time zone, no matter the time zone of the user.
Reports and exports around Transaction Search will also reflect the store time.
Transaction “View”
New emphasis has been placed on details and presentation of the information in transaction records to ensure consistency across systems, reports, and transaction modifications. The “View” transaction details now have better labeling, informative subtotal sections, and consistent transaction values in all sections. Values have not been changed, they are simply re-organized to simplify auditing.
Consistency in Totals
Transaction Total, Total Amount Due, and Tender Total are displayed consistently from PrismPOS to Mosaic
Web order discounts are captured and presented in the same way as POS discounts
Clear Identification of Discounts
Discounts are clearly identified as line item vs. transaction and marked as adjustments to selling price, where appropriate.
Added a "Line Item" header on item details to differentiate from transaction-level discounts.
All "Applied Discount(s)", both line item and transaction level, are identified and totaled
Logical Presentation of Transaction Total
Line Items Extended match Purchased Items details.
Reverse signed Discount Total matches Applied Discount(s) details.
Subtotal and Tax Rate Total match Transaction Tax Rates details.
Total Amount Due is a sum of the above values and validates the transaction header.
Tender Total Consistency
CASH is reported as cash collected (cash amount - change due) to ensure tendered amount aligns with the transaction header.
Screen Labels Accuracy
Added "Line Item" to product columns.
Added "Applied Discount(s)" section to present all Transaction vs. Line Item discounts.
Removed "Transaction" from Discount Total to clarify discount types.
Removed "Transaction" from Tax Rate Total to avoid redundancy.
Changed Transaction Total line labels to match values in other screen locations.
Time Zone Consistency
Transaction Search now displays times based on the store's configured time zone, no matter the time zone of the user.
Reports and exports around Transaction Search also honor the store time. So, activity will align with POS times, regardless of where the Mosaic user is connecting from.
For the Web Sales and Tax by State report, custom date ranges on reports now match what was chosen by the user exactly, no matter what timezone the user is in. Previously, if a Mosaic user ran reports from a different timezone than what is configured in Store Setup > Parameters, dates could change unexpectedly. This has been fixed.
Credit Requests
Several changes have been made to enhance and clarify the Credit Request PDF:
Store name is now included on the Credit Request PDF under the “Remit to” section.
The RMA # value is now found to the right of the title, not below it.
A “Permission Date” field was added, which displays the “Permission Date” from the Credit Request if the user has selected a date. If a date is not added to the Credit Request, the value remains empty.
The “Date” label has been changed to “Create Date”
Web Orders
Web Orders Search Screen
A new status and filter for "Completed at Register" have been added to from the Web Orders search screen.
Web Order Processing
To allow for more streamlined and flexible order processing, several key improvements have been made to Order Management and Edit Web Order screens:
Web orders now automatically save upon changing the payment method.
Values from the “Special Comments” field have been included in the Department Charge Details modal when editing department charge payment details on a web order.
Department charge details flowing to the special comment have been made consistent with configured department charge prompt labels seen at web checkout.
For orders with status “Canceled” and "Completed at Register", a "Reopen" button is now provided to change the order back to an "Open" status.
Upon selection, a warning message is shown to confirm the web order status should be changed.
A user may “Work Order” within Mosaic upon changing status.
Note: This action does not trigger an automated email to customers.
Customers - Internal Notes
Upon editing a Customer, a new Internal Customer Notes field is available.
This field is only viewable by users with access to edit the customer.
Notes written in this field are not visible to the customer.
Details of who last updated the note, and when, are captured upon save
Term Creation
Upon creation of a Term, all departments are now active by default for the campus associated with the term. This replaces the previous experience of having to check all departments, resulting in an experience where Course Materials Managers only have to deal with exceptions.
Miscellaneous Enhancements & Bug fixes
POS Device Reconciliation Report - Corrected a spelling error and replaced “Beakdown” to read “Breakdown”. Whoops!
Report Errors - A patch that resolved a handful of “Ooops…” errors on reports following the May release is now formally packaged with application code moving forward.
