May 2024 Mosaic Release Notes
Application Updates from: Mar 21 - Apr 29, 2024
Release to Production: May 8, 2024
Release Notes Statement
New functionality added to Mosaic is controlled by feature flags to ensure readiness prior to use in production environments. Throughout release notes the phrase “If enabled” is used to designate capabilities that may be turned on or off. Such options may be released for a limited audience or dependent upon additional updates. These options will still be referenced in release notes to make clients aware of all new application capabilities.
Significant Infrastructure Upgrade
Mosaic has undergone a significant upgrade to it’s infrastructure with the most recent .NET version from Microsoft. Although this change should go unnoticed in Mosaic functionality, the .NET update ensures the latest security architecture, performance updates, and ongoing support of Microsoft cloud services for Mosaic.
AR Accounts and Statements
AR Statements Format
Mosaic now opens a new tab for AR Statements, providing an easily viewed, print-ready format. This replaces the previous experience of only being able to view report contents in a print preview dialogue. The benefits of the new approach include:
Users may now use built-in browser capabilities to view, search, or print contents of the AR Print Statement.
The AR Print Statement tab will persist the shown date/time and report contents until the tab is closed or refreshed.
The statement displays the date/time the AR Print Statement was generated.
Other AR Account Statement inconsistencies have also been resolved.
The Total Discounts column has been removed as it is included in the Transaction Total.
A user can now review transaction values left to right to reconcile the Transaction Total.
Payments and Adjustments on AR Statements
AR Statements now feature Payments and Adjustments in line item details, when included. After selecting activity date sort and filter options, Mosaic provides a print-ready AR statement, by account, for all transactions that match the statement parameters. Pertinent transaction level details can be included with statement subtotals by Agency Code, as well as a grand total of selected accounts.
AR Statements have also been streamlined to remove extraneous values that potentially caused reconciliation confusion.
Tax Exempt AR Accounts & Web Order Processing
Web Orders in Mosaic now consider if an account associated with the web order AR payment method is a “Tax Exempt” account.
Upon switching from a taxable to non-taxable account, Mosaic will clear all taxes on items and shipping.
Upon switching from a non-taxable to taxable account, Mosaic will recalculate taxes on items and shipping automatically.
In both scenarios, users will be prompted prior to saving potentially impactful tax status changes.
Tax Exempt status displays prominently under the Agency Name when editing a Web Orders.
Product Page Performance
Performance has been increased on Product Maintenance pages. This enhances the speed of searching and filtering products and reduces load times.
