E-mail configuration for WPServer Notifications
WPServer can be configured to send an E-mail when an error occurs. This requires that an SMTP server be configured in PrismCore Admin and that the mail recipient be assigned to each service that will be reporting.
The first step is to configure the SMTP settings in PrismCore Admin.
This is done under Store Set Up\Store Information\ Miscellaneous tab. Scroll down to the SMTP lines and enter a valid server, user and password (if user and password are required for your email server).
The Email Queue has to be added to WPConsole by PrismRBS if it is not already there. Once that is done it can be configured by double clicking in WPConsole.
The E-mail notification reporting can be scheduled using the Execute Time tab.
The notification level can also be set to Error, Warning, General or Detailed information.
Once this has been configured, the properties for any of the services in WPConsole can be configured for alerts. The example below is for the WinPrism Import/Export Interface line. Click on the Email Alerts tab.
Right click on the box to the left of the name. This will only work if the specific box is right clicked.
Select Add Recipient.
Enter the name and Email address of a recipient.
Click the enable check box in order for this recipient to be active.
Based on the interval and level of notification an E-mail will be sent.
