December 12, 2021 PrismPOS Release Notes

PrismPOS is the preferred point-of-sale solution for PrismCore and Mosaic. As additional functionality is added to Mosaic, application APIs are expanding to offer standard behavior regardless of a store’s inventory management system. Along with essential data exchange, there is an ongoing initiative to unify POS configuration, content management, and transaction processing within Mosaic. This application makes use of enhanced Mosaic APIs to exchange data.

Emailed Receipts

The applications now provides feedback to clerks confirming a receipt email was generated. The message “Receipt added to email queue” is shown. Before this change, the message was queued, but there was no feedback to the clerk.

Thunder Admin Tool

Receipts - Code has been added to Thunder Admin Tool > Receipts, so that a user can add Digital Text Instructions. Currently for Core users this is a view only module. For Mosaic users, the ability to add and edit Digital Text is supported with the following tabs:
- Assign Templates
- Receipts
- Inserts
- Agreements (The Agreements tab will allow a user to Add and Edit Digital text instructions.)
A Pay In / Pay Out module was added to Thunder Admin Tool > Configuration. Currently for Core users this is a view only module, but for Mosaic users, the ability to add and edit Pay Ins and Pay Outs is supported.

Mosaic Integration

DCC sales have been confirmed to support Mosaic data and update Mosaic sales reconciliation reports as expected.
Product lookup by barcode, in addition to SKU and product search, has been confirmed for Mosaic products.
Gift card tender has been enabled to check and update card balances as provided by Mosaic.
Rentals prices are shown for active rental items in Mosaic, and transaction are updated to Mosaic customer accounts.
Pay In capabilities will now accept payments to Mosaic AR accounts.

Misc Enhancements and Fixes

In Thunder Admin Tool > Configuration > Tenders, the UI correctly presents selected/unselected check boxes. Previously, some checkboxes reverted to a default state.
Rentals - The signature required parameter has been fixed so that if the "Require Signature on Rentals" checkbox is checked in Thunder Admin Tool > Configuration > POS Setup > Parameters, a signature will be required for rental transactions regardless of tender configuration. This fix is for both 1.9 and 2.0. Currently 1.9 only requires one signature at the time of the guarantee tender, where 2.0 requires a signature for the sale and the guarantee tender.
Transaction lookup now includes appropriate price information for Mosaic transactions.
