Enhancements

Mosaic integration

Book variants - PrismPOS now presents digital, rental, and trade SKUs for books. This change informs POS to initiate required workflows for digital and rental variants and allows trade books to be searched for and added to transactions at the register.

Note: Due to store-specific parameters and associated third-party configuration, digital and rental workflows must be validated end-to-end by production tenant. The ability of PRBS to validate some functionality is limited due to non-production testing accounts.

Order Processing – The PrismPOS card processing API is exposed to Mosaic to accept, validate, and process credit card tokens for order processing. This update maintains PCI scope by ensuring that all credit card functions are directed to previously validated and segregated payment processing functions.
Suspend/retrieve transaction – Transactions suspended from PrismPOS to the Mosaic back office may now be retrieved and completed as expected.
Receipt view – Receipts generated and saved with the Mosaic back office may be retrieved and viewed as expected.
Tax Rates – Changes to tax rates that are scheduled via Mosaic back office are now applied to PrismPOS as scheduled.

Note: By design, tax rates may only be updated along with a calendar date change. Rates may not be altered midday.

Thunder Admin Tool UI

User Interface/Experience - Ongoing updates have been made to ensure a consistent user interface throughout the application. This continuing initiative applies new colors and updates menu organization throughout the Thunder Admin tool.

Corrections

AR validation – PrismPOS now honors the selection of AR Requirements as configured in POS Setup. Previously some validation fields were always required regardless of a user’s preferred validation fields.

Windows Services – During a previous update, the NBC Transfer Client Installer was failing to restart our Windows services on some systems. This has been fixed so after an update, the Windows services restart automatically.

Customer Updates – Discovered issues with customer updates between PrismCore and PrismPOS have been resolved. Addresses, phone numbers, and other customer details that are shared between Core and PrismPOS now stay in sync between applications as expected.

FreedomPay – Approval errors related to campus card processing with FreedomPay credit configuration have been resolved.

FreedomPay – Errors caused by long item descriptions have been corrected. PrismPOS truncates descriptions to match the character limits set by FreedomPay.
