Accessing PrismCore with FMBO

PrismCore is a software application that you will use to access and maintain your store data on a day to day basis. Unlike many other applications, the PrismCore system is housed in a cloud-based server, instead of on a local system in your network. Therefore, accessing the system is a bit different.

In order to access PrismCore, you will first need to be sure NBC IT Support has created your domain user name and password. If you are a new user, you should verify with your store manager prior to attempting to access PrismCore, to be sure your credentials have been set up properly. You must also have registered on the Self-Service site and changed your temporary password.

To access your PrismCore account, you will need to complete the following steps.

From the workstation used to access PrismCore, the following will be done for EACH user on EACH machine (See Important Notes):

  1. Open Control Panel

  2. Select RemoteApp and Desktop Connections

  3. Select Setup a new connection with remote app and desktop connections

  4. The following will display:

    Domain/User Name:  FMBO\POC-jsmith
    Password:      Th1Sm1GHTbEapAS$W0Rd

  9. Click Finish.

  10. On the new window that displays, click “View resources”

  11. You can then drag the shortcuts to wherever you choose on your local machine.

  12. When you are ready to access your system, double click the PrismCore or PrismCore Admin icon.

  14. The following will display. Check the ‘Don’t ask me again’ box, and choose ‘Connect’.

  15. Next, in the following dialog, check ‘Don’t ask me again…”, and click ‘Yes”.

  16. Next, the following will display. Click OK.
