PrismPOS is the preferred point-of-sale solution for PrismCore and Mosaic. As additional functionality is added to Mosaic and PrismCore, application APIs are expanding to offer expected behavior regardless of a store’s inventory management system. Along with essential data exchange, there is an ongoing initiative to unify POS configuration, streamline content management, and enhance transaction processing quality.


PrismPOS

Pin Pad Request for Signature

Cashiers now have options if a request for customer signature times out. Previously, if a customer did not sign at the pin pad and the request for signature timed out, the cashier was unable to complete the transaction and had to restart the payment processing. Now, if a Signature at the pin pad was not captured cashiers have the choice to “Complete and sign receipt” or “Resend signature prompt to pin pad”

  • Complete and sign receipt - the transaction is completed and the user can sign the physical copy of the receipt.

  • Resend signature prompt to pin pad - the signature prompt will be displayed at the pin pad for the user to sign.

Multiple Digital ISBNs on the Same Transaction

If a digital text has more than one quantity, a more friendly error message is provided. Previously, the message “Unable to obtain a Basket ID” was given.  This has been changed to the message that POS receives from Web that presenting “Quantity of ISBN (ISBN) is greater than 1.  Please limit quantity to 1.

  • NOTE: A different message is provided when the same digital ISBN is added on separate line items: "Sale Error: ISBN (ISBN) is already attached to ReceiptNumber (receipt). The existing book must be returned before it can be purchased on the same receipt."


Thunder Admin

Digital Text Receipts

When a receipt from a digital text transaction was displayed from the options in Thunder Admin > Transaction Inquiry, the digital text instructions print correctly from Open Text Receipt, Open Email Receipt, and Download Receipt. Previously, the digital text instructions were not being included.


Bugs and Small Enhancements

  • A suspended transaction with multiple items and a transaction discount now completes correctly with no errors after being resumed and having new items added to the transaction. Previously in this scenario, an error was being given.

  • When a receipt was emailed from the Receipts tab, the textbox was inconsistent with other fields at the register. This has been fixed to match the textbox size of other input fields.
